Eric is amazing! A true pitbull and artisan of his craft. He is very knowledgeable and has many stories of experience to help explain circumstances. There were times I felt he fought a little harder than needed and thats what makes him an amazing lawyer, the readiness to fight for his clients and professionalism to back it up. I have retained Eric Shiller on two separate occasions. The first time we appeared in court I discovered just how smart and savvy he is; a seasoned, accomplished professional experienced in the complexities of the law who argued effectively on my behalf. The second time, with much more serious charges pending, he miraculously pulled a rabbit out of a hat, something no other attorney could have accomplished. It would have been a very different outcome had he not been there. Since you are perusing reviews of lawyers I assume you are looking for the best. Eric is hands down the best. There are no words to describe my gratitude for his commitment, his strategic capability and his perseverance. I understand he has fought over 20,000 cases and, with many years of experience, knows the "players" and is undaunted by the prosecutions’ allegations. There are many attorneys out there who will dazzle you with the sale only to plead you out, not giving your case the time or attention it deserves. If you want dedicated, determined counsel who can deliver exceptional results hire Eric Shiller. You’ll be glad you did.

I left a review a little over a month ago. I left the original at the bottom here, however after further disapointments, here is my update. Just days before going to trial, I was told by multiple other lawyers that I was basically screwed because Eric had done such little work to prepare. After firing Eric and hiring a replacement lawyer, the replacement had to completely pull the whole case because NOTHING had been done. When I say Nothing, I'm telling you that not a single subpoena had been filed, no discovery requested, NOTHING. Mind you, this is less than a week from the trial day where I was set to fight for my son. Fast forward.... I get my billing history from Eric. The man has charged out the ass for EVERYTHING, just so that he could keep the majority of my retainer. This man claims he charges $300 an hour but has the nerve to charge $100 to review an email or take a five minute phone call. Even my new lawyer that charges $375 an hour only charges $37 for reviewing an email. This guys a crook. He charged me almost $600 to appear in court for less than hour, a court date that he was over a half hour late for. Fast forward some more. Eric claims there was a little more than $300 of the retainer that was not used, that he HAS to return to me BY LAW. Now a month later... I'm still waiting for a check to come in the mail, Eric refuses to answer or return any of my calls or texts, and I'm now preparing to take legal action. It's not about the money, it's about principle. You pay a man up front for a service and you expect that service to be provided to you. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MAN TO ANYONE! IF YOU WANT A FAMILY COURT LAWYER WHO IS DRIVEN BY THE POWER OF FAMILY AND NOT THE POWER OF THE DOLLAR, THAN DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER!
