I came here for dinner on a Friday night and despite being busy our appetizers and food came out fast. The waiter was good and attentive of our table of four. The food was delicious, I highly recommend the Texas T-Bone and the mozzarella appetizer.

August 2, 18 and September 1, 2024: We were happy to contribute to Saltgrass supporting the Food Bank with donating a portion of their special restaurant menu proceeds to the cause. Since I knew members of my group would enjoy the 'Moo', I decided to try the blackened redfish. The fish includes jumbo crab and grilled shrimp as the 'topper' on the fish. The photos show the food options and the consistent quality of the restaurant week selections offered. The service has been consistent as well; our most recent experience was with Jesus who provided a beverage refill (sweet tea, peach tea, strawberry lemonade, and water) even before we asked ?. If you are considering dining at Saltgrass, support their Food Bank cause by ordering from their restaurant week menu.

February 2024: Treated family member to Saltgrass - we were very pleased with the crab cake appetizer, Pat's Rib Eye with broccoli and mashed potatoes, and the steak salad with salmon instead of 'moo' ? (photos provided). Mercedes was a courteous and efficient server and made certain our order was accurate and provided to us in a timely manner. She EARNED her tip ?.

December 2023: Wonderful to see friends/associates from across the miles and years - the host of the Saltgrass gathering was just as entertaining and intellectually engaging as I remembered. The food was fresh and served promptly - from the beer battered bread, chicken tortilla soup, garden salad and selected entrees served to us. Our attendant asked those who ordered steak to cut it and tell her if they were satisfied with the preparation of their steak. The friends/associates were quite satisfied. My steak salad became a salmon salad; photo provided along with an entree to my left. The friend/associate was visiting from overseas- even he knew where to go for a good steak when visiting Houston.

Our host is smart as well - he received points for the party of seven being a Landry's Member ?. Fun times - and I hope they continue to be productive in their chosen career paths (or happy enjoying their retirement - long way off for me ?).

Waited almost forty minutes for a pick up order. Queso only. Queso. I arrived, informed them I placed an online order. Was told “oh you placed it for x time.” Me, already aware, as the website does not allow rush orders. Host radios the kitchen and informs them I am early. Conveniently as I approach 30 minutes I ask the hostess to cancel my order, as this is quite ridiculous. She reappears and informs me my food is coming out. 3 more minutes pass before my food is delivered. Would not recommend ordering take out, you’re not a priority even if it is $20 queso.

We recently had an 80th birthday celebration for our mom. Saltgrass is her favorite restaurant. We had at least 20 people in our party. We had to change our reservation due to inclement weather. Saltgrass was more than accommodating. We were able to sit in a private area of the restaurant which made our celebration even more fun. The service was excellent, and the food was quite tasty! Our servers were patient, kind, and professional. I wish that I had gotten their names. The only name that I remember is Cassaundra. All of the servers were excellent. We had a wonderful time, and our mom was happy. We will be returning to this Saltgrass location for future gatherings.

Saltgrass Steak House at 520 Meyerland Plaza is our go to when we are in Houston! We have never had a bad experience and we have continued to dine there often. Our latest visit was 1/2/2025, but something changed. Stephany was our server for the first time, and I can tell you it will not be our last time! She welcomed us with a beautiful smile and an awesome sense of humor, which we greatly appreciate! We felt blessed to have met her! The food, drinks, service, management and atmosphere were excellent, as usual and we are greatly looking forward to our next visit!!!!

I had a chicken fried steak with potatoes and it was delicious. I am coming back to this place. Worth every bit! Service is quick and friendly. Did I say friendly? I meant very friendly and nice and you can see how the staff interacted with kids. Even the misbehaving kids were treated with kindness and a smile. All that made dinner so much better.
