My boyfriend and I stayed here for a wedding at the beginning of the summer. We had a small electrical issue in our room when we first got in, but Terrance and Gabby at the front desk exceeded our expectations.

We had originally booked the Young Buck Suite but the lights and other electric wiring seemed to have gone out (it was storming, so maybe a fuse blew in the room). We went down to see if it could be fixed and Terrance and Gabby upgraded us to a Champions Suite with a balcony!!! They were so nice and accommodating; we weren’t expecting the new room. They were very prompt, friendly and welcoming! 🙂

The Trade is a stunning hotel in a great location, but Terrance and Gabby really made our stay special. We had the best time celebrating our friends’ wedding across the street at Gather, in part because we had such a lovely stay at The Trade.

We would definitely recommend The Trade to everyone and stay there again! Best hotel and hospitality experience ever! 🙂

Wow! This hotel is in a class by itself!! It is contemporary elegance from the moment we pulled up to the notable exterior and received valet parking when meeting the professional, personable, and considerate staff! The immense lobby has a dining area with scrumptious food, comfortable seating, and great views in addition to a beautiful, large bar and a large, cozy fireplace. Their downtown location affords walking to numerous venues and additional dining across the street from the Milwaukee sports arena and much more! The modern, stylish rooms are well designed for beauty, comfort, privacy, and great views!!!!

Had an amazing dinner tonight at the trade hotel. The food here is awesome. We are regulars and like seeing our buddy Gabe Ramos in the valet. He's a sweet kid. Professional and always has the drive looking nice when we pull in. Also just chill and laid back.

Entered hotel around 11pm on 10/24/24 after concert to inquire about transferring from another Marriott hotel to this one. Advised young white man with blond hair who was working front desk I didn't know a hotel was available so close to stadium that was a Marriott brand and how could I transfer. I noticed he wasn't really paying attention to me and eventually said wait a minute and started motioning to ppl outside who were trying to enter revolving door to use a side door. Upon entrance he engaged with them like I was never standing there and never asked him a question. The guest who just entered immediately apologized as they heard me say ask him again and he just continued with his self engaging conversation with them totally snubbing me. Guest were profusely apologizing, he still didn't acknowledge me or my presenting question. I said to him that's terribly rude and walked out while guest tried to get me to come back and they continued to apologize for his behavior. For what?! I was just a potential guest at this boutique version of the brand and you think his behavior inspired me to invest my money here?! Why would I stay here when this is the image staff is poorly projecting for the brand/particular location?! Nope!! He needs to be reprimanded and coached on how to interact properly with customers. If it happens again then fired! Piss poor treatment. I just continued my stay at other downtown Marriott brand where I was treated well.

Perfectly located in the Deer District. Hotel itself was pretty and nicely decorated.

Check-in and other interactions with front desk were odd. Differing communication about all of these drinks coins, cards, and discounts. At one point, front desk just told us to ask the restaurant as they would know more…

Lobby was frequently dirty - food and food boxes sitting on trash cans and tables. Tables not wiped down. And the front lobby and restaurant windows only washed to halfway up. When the light hits the front, you can still see the suction from when the windows were being installed.

Room was also nicely decorated. Beware if you’re staying facing fiserv, that the glass is THIN. Our first night we were kept up from gunshots and drag racing. I do NOT feel it’s an issue of safety and am sure this isn’t normal, but the panes are thin. Just an FYI.

No desk - just one small table and single chair with an oddly low back. No real “comfy/chill” sitting.

We unfortunately picked up yogurt and sandwiches for the next day and put them in the room fridge when we got there. The dial was set to low, so we turned it to high to stay safely cool. Sadly, it was actually unplugged and we lost our food as we didn’t want to attempt dairy and meat.

Had to go to multiple floors for working ice and when we did find some, there was some film left behind in our glass. Kind of gross.

We went to Craft, the restaurant downstairs, twice. Breakfast first - short rib hash with eggs. No flavor. We had a few bites only. Coffee was weak. BUT service was 5 star. Our server was so kind and attentive! Later, we just did the bar. Used our coins for some beer and I did a tequila, neat. Again, service was awesome. Bartenders were fun, knowledgeable, and a good mix of giving you space and being chatty.

Gym was really nice - pelotons, treadmills, stair climber, ropes, weight machines, mats, dumbbells, etc. Something for everyone. Also very clean!

Not sure if we would go back at that price considering it didn’t live up to expectations.

In Downtown Milwaukee tonight and needed parking last minute. The Trade has a valet service, luckily. Gabe Ramos does a nice job checking me in with a positive attitude. Glad that I decided to park here tonight instead of wandering around the city.

We stayed here for a wedding and the room was extremely nice. My only remark is when the A/C turned on all the lights in the room turned off. Only for a few seconds then they turned back on. Valet was easy - Uber picks you up right outside. You need to scan your key for floors 3-6 so be ready for that. I took advantage of the Bonvoy mobile check-in process and breezed into my room.

The hotel is large and has a nice ambience. The rooms aren't gigantic but very sound-proofed, so that's a huge plus.

The breakfast vouchers are another plus, and the servers there are kind. My eggs were definitely over-oiled but otherwise the meal was good.

The valet isn't the best at communication, so if they're retrieving your car, make sure you're paying attention and looking out for its arrival.
